Indoor Lowland Championships

The Indoor Lowland Championship are an initiative of the Dutch, Danish, British, Belgium and the Luxembourgish ski federations to see which ‘Lowland’ will be the best of the season. The races take place in one of the indoor ski slopes in Europe and this year it’s up to the Netherlands. Racers of the five nations will compete in SnowWorld Landgraaf for individual and nation prices. The Indoor Lowland Championships will take place on September 23th and 24th. Below you can find more information, registration, and the program for the whole weekend.

Draft Program

Below is the schedule for the 2024 Indoor Lowland Championships at SnowWorld Landgraaf. This schedule is always subject to change. The exact timetable and competition details will be shared at the TC meeting the day before. Therefore, make sure to be present, or have someone from your team attend. After the meeting, we will also share the schedule in the WhatsApp group.

Saturday 21 September: race 1

08:30 – 09:00 Course inspection 1st run
09:15 Start 1st run
We will start resetting and inspection 2nd course immediately after the end of the 1st run. Programm will follow via Whatsapp and speaker.
Price giving ceremony directly afterwards.
17:00 Team captains meeting and bib draw

Race format

Both races will be a slalom format. The categories U10 and U12 will race with stubbies and the remaining age categories with 27 mm poles.


Entry criteria and invitation

Each race is open to racers registered with their home nation, meeting the age group categories U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U21 and masters. Each nation has a specific quota and will determine their own entry criteria. Racers will be invited to participate by their own national federation. Entry procedures including additional national fees, if applicable, closing dates etc. will be published separately by each nation.


Prices

Saturday and Sunday

There will be a price giving ceremony after the 2nd run on Saturday and Sunday, including the prices for the Lowlands Cup on Sunday.

Lowlands Cup

The nation that receives the most points during the weekend, wins the Lowlands Cup 2023. The top 5 skiers in the finish of each category will receive points for the Nations Cup. Points per category:
1st place – 15 points
2nd place – 9 points
3rd place – 5 points
4th place – 3 points
5th place – 1 point


Rules

The Race will be run in accordance with FIS rules. For issues not covered by the FIS, the jury will decide. Racers must be able to show their bib in the competition area, at any time. Coaches and other personnel wishing to access the slope will be required to complete a race accreditation form and be issued with an accreditation.


Cost and entries administration

The entry fee for this event is € 35,- per person per day. Slope entry is included in the entry fee for the race. There is no training after the race and no free entry to the slope.
